Zyprexa Side Effects News
Zyprexa being accused of wide range of side effects
August 11, 2004
Zyprexa studies have linked the popular psychotic disorders drug to diabetes, pancreatitis, death and other severe complications. According to Zyprexa commercials, the drug "may make users ten times more likely to develop diabetes". Since Zyprexa has been linked to weight gain in a high number of users, weight gain is associated to diabetes, which is associated to heart disease, which is linked to a host of other complications, making the potential for dangerous Zyprexa side effects even greater.
The FDA required all atypical anti-psychotics like Zyprexa include a warning label of all complications in March 2004, but Zyprexa has been the target of dangerous complications for the drug's intended use as well as for off-label prescriptions. Zyprexa lawsuits have been filed for patients using Zyprexa for its approved purposes, as well as for patients prescribed Zyprexa for other conditions, such as dementia and controlling aggressive behavior.
